Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching Physics for IIT-JEE for the last 5 years.I focus on the Mathematical articulation of Physical Phenomenon which require both deductive reasoning and intuition on the part of my students. I was among a handful of candidates to qualify for the doctoral program before I ventured into teaching. Some of my students have got into ISM and NIT. I have been able to develop to some degree a pedagogy based on discourse where my students are encouraged to create their own thought experiments and question the traditional techniques of problem solving.
Tutoring Approach: The fundamental hypothesis that I follow when it comes to teaching Physics at Iit-Jee level is to give my student (s) complete liberty to invalidate orthodox techniques of computation. One of my best loved examples is to see Momentum and Center of Mass as Computational techniques where force/energy equations alone would not work. I seek to de-mystify the subject, and it is my believe that Physics (being the most fundamental of all Sciences) is best viewed as an exercise in creation/modelling of Mathematical structures. I am always concerned with simplification of a problem, absolutely focusing on the brass tacks and the basic laws, be it Mechanics or Classical Electrodynamics.I initially state the law followed with the examples showing the various applications in the form of numerical problems. I believe that once a student has been through a rigorous set of quality problems (problems which fight back), the student is equipped to think on his own. After all the IIT-JEE exams focus on
